LIFE Euroturtles presentation at 19th Croatian SEMEP summer school on Vis

In July 2017. Jelena Basta from Blue World Institute presented LIFE Euroturtles project to the participants of 19th Croatian South-Eastern Mediterranean Sea Project (SEMEP) Summer School in Komiža at the island of Vis. SEMEP is an interdisciplinary environmental education project focusing primarily on the South Eastern Mediterranean sea region. Member countries include: Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Palestinian Authority, Romania, Slovenia, and Turkey. The project promotes environmental education through science and intercultural dialogue in the region. In Croatia, students and teacher from all SEMEP schools are meeting at the Summer School event on the island of Vis to share information about undertaken activities and extend their knowledge about Mediterrranean. This year, Blue World Instiute was invited as a guest organization and we used the opportunity to present LIFE Euroturtles project but also to give lecture on marine turtles biology, ecology and conservation to around 70 students and their teachers.
