Prince Charles Releases Rehabilitated Turtles in Malta

On the 5th of October, HRH the Prince of Wales personally attended and assisted in the release of three successfully rehabilitated loggerhead turtles in Golden Bay, Malta. The event, which coincided with the ‘Our Ocean 2017’ conference, was held to raise awareness on the threats of litter on marine biodiversity. The Prince then went on to deliver a moving keynote speech at the international conference, where he discussed the pressing issues of marine pollution, microplastics, and overfishing, and called for global commitment in safeguarding the world’s oceans.
